The hotel had a lovely and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a senior woman like myself. The decoration was charming and homely, creating a comforting and welcoming environment. The general areas of the hotel were easily accessible for senior people like me, with no stairs or obstacles to navigate. It was reassuring to know that the hotel was designed with senior guests in mind, providing a comfortable and safe stay.

The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to be more attentive and proactive in assisting us. Sometimes, it would have been helpful to have someone readily available to help with any specific needs or requests that may arise.

Difficult key access

I had a great stay at The Barn in Ilkeston. The value for money was excellent, and the room was cozy and clean with all the necessary amenities. The location was perfect, within walking distance of the main shopping street and a short stroll from the train station. The staff were kind and responsive, making me feel welcome and secure during my stay. I especially loved the private patio area, perfect for soaking up the sun.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was if there were more options available. Although it was advertised as a continental breakfast, it only consisted of a couple of boxes of cereal.

Friendly neighbors, safe parking, cute and well-equipped apartment, responsive host, comfy bed.
